Jonathan Procter – Bela Zangler
Finally hitting the big time !! ..after many years of amateur theatre (too many to mention), Jonathan is “over the moon” about his debut appearance at Glasgow’s Kings Theatre with the Lyric Club.
From Lanarkshire, Jonathan has been extremely fortunate to have performed in some wonderful shows with parts ranging from Tevye “Fiddler” to Prof Higgins “My Fair Lady” as well as Mack in “Mack & Mabel” and Nathan and Nicely in “Guys and Dolls”. From Daddy Warbucks “Annie” to Captain Von Trappe “Sound of Music”, he has also tried his hand at Gilbert and Sullivan playing Koko and The Lord Chancellor in the “Mikado” and “Iolanthe”.
Favourite parts have included Captain Tempest in “Forbidden Planet” and Moonface Martin in “Anything Goes” which he has just finished performing in Motherwell. His most challenging and rewarding endeavours have been The Baker in “Into the Woods” and Freddie Trumper (the American) in “Chess”. Jonathan was delighted to be part of the recent West of Scotland premier of “Whisky Galore” playing Joseph Macroon -a grumpy old curmudgeon!(some say his easiest part yet!)
In his spare time!!!…Jonathan sings with award winning ensemble Octave who perform all over west and central Scotland supporting many charitable causes.
